My name is Michelle McClellan. I am very excited that I get to teach 6th grade ELA this year. This is my twenty-second year as a teacher. I previously taught in Las Vegas, NV and Sue Cleveland Elementary in Piedmont, SC. I have my teaching certification for the state of South Carolina for early and elementary education, literacy teaching and administration. I am a highly qualified literacy teacher. The college I attended was BYU-Idaho, in which I received my bachelor’s degree in early and elementary education. In May of 2017, I graduated from Clemson with my Masters in administration and leadership.
I have taught first grade for 13 years, 3rd grade for 6 years, 7th grade ELA for 1 year and reading intervention for 1. I love to read and I am excited to teach 6th grade ELA so that I can share my passion for reading.
Some of my favorite things are chocolate, movies, reading, exercising and shopping. I love spending time with my family.
I know that we are going to have a great year! We have a lot to learn, so please come each day prepared to be engaged in the learning process.
