Hello! My name is Diana Lister, and I am proud to be an ESOL teacher at Greer High School. With 18 years of experience in education, I am passionate about helping multilingual learners build confidence, develop their English skills, and discover their full potential. My goal is to create a classroom where every student feels welcomed, valued, and encouraged to grow both academically and personally.
Originally from Colombia, I earned my bachelor's degree in Philology and Languages from the National University of Colombia, with a specialization in Bilingual Education. After moving to the United States, I continued my education and earned a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Education Technology & Instructional Design. I have also completed professional certifications in ESOL through the University of South Carolina, Gifted and Talented Education, Read to Succeed, and Advanced Placement (AP) World Languages. I believe that learning never stops, and I enjoy continuing to grow professionally so I can better serve my students.
One of the greatest honors of my career was being selected as the 2024–2025 Teacher of the Year for the Satellite Diploma Program at Greenville County Schools. This recognition reflects my commitment to building meaningful relationships with students and creating engaging learning experiences that help them succeed.
When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family, who are the most important part of my life. My husband and our three wonderful children bring me endless joy and keep me inspired every day. I also love dancing, watching soccer, spending time in nature, exploring the mountains, cooking, baking, and taking walks with our dog, Ellie-May.
