I am a southern girl through and through. I spent my early childhood in southern California before moving to Atlanta, but Greenville has been my home for decades. Because of my passion for literature, I attended the University of South Carolina where I majored in English. I continued there to earn my Masters of Teaching Arts, English Secondary Education. I have taught in Tennessee and South Carolina, every grade level from 8th to 12th.Â
I met my true love, also a Gamecock, my junior year of college at a church picnic. We have been married for 28 years and have three sons and one daughter, ages 23 to 16. When I am not grading papers, I am gardening, with assistance from the best teammate I know; traveling, often to go to a concert; or planning my next home improvement. I'm thrilled to start my ninth year as a Warrior, and I look forward to meeting you to begin our journey through American Literature or AP Research.
