Hello, I am Mrs. Lee and I will be your 8th grade Math teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This is my 38th year teaching and I love it and my students.
I graduated from Clemson University and Southern Wesleyan University. I have two children, Chris (30) and Taylor (27). I also have a husband, Tommy Lee, who is an awesome guy! He does have one fault, he's a Gamecock! We pick on each other all the time about our differences.
I love to read, listen to music, and teach math. I have a dog named Toby. We have also recentally brought another into the fold. Her name is Mavis. I am also a huge Dwight Yoakam fan. Most of you may not know who that is but, you will. (LOL)
My goal is for every student to receive the highest quality education in the safest environment possible. This includes the classroom, hallways, transitions between classes, and all areas of the school. To achieve this, students are expected to follow school and classroom expectations, accept responsibility for their actions, and understand that choices have consequences.
In the specific area of math, my goal for this year is for each of you to take away a feeling of accomplishment. Every year someone says, " I'm not good in math." I want each of you to know that "YES" you are good in math. Remember, you can always ask me questions! My job is to help you understand and grab a new confidence that lets you know that "You've Got This!"
I can't wait to meet each and everyone of you and begin our journey through math together.
