Hello! My name is Katie Kluttz, and I am thrilled to be a Northwood Middle Knight!

I was born in Indianola, Mississippi and moved to Spartanburg, South Carolina for college and have been in SC ever since. I attended Converse College for my undergraduate and graduate degrees in English, Politics and Education. I began my teaching career in 7th grade ELA and over the years have instructed and built curriculum for 6th through 12th grade levels.  

In 2002, my husband, Brad, and our two young boys, Whit and James, moved to Greenville. In 2010, we welcomed our daughter, Leila. The boys are now grown and our daughter will be entering Eastside High as a freshman.

I am beyond excited to be teaching in our 7th grade classes. My passion is helping every child feel comfortable, valued, and successful in the classroom.

This year marks my 20th year of experience teaching, and I couldn’t be more excited to get the school year rolling! I look forward to partnering with you and getting to know your child and your family as we journey through the "middle of the middle" grade together.
