About Mrs. Ferrell
My name is Anna Kay Ferrell. This is my 14th year of teaching. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education - Learning Disabilities with add-on certification in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education and Teaching English as a Second Language.
My husband, Garland and I have been married for 6 years and we have a 2 year old daughter, Lucy and a Boykin Spaniel, Chip. We enjoy going on family walks, watching football, spending time with our families and friends, and going to the beach.
I am so excited about this school year and I am looking forward to watching your child grow and learn! We are going to have a GREAT year!

Classroom Expectations:
I strive to create a classroom environment where all students feel safe, cared for, and are able to learn. I enjoy building positive relationships with students. Rules/expectations are clearly stated and reviewed daily. Students are expected to stay in their designated area during small group/whole group instruction and when they are working independently. I expect them to be good listeners, engaged in and participating in instruction. I expect them to respect me and their classmates. I expect them to attempt and complete assignments to the best of their ability. My goal is to create a fun and functional environment where all students can learn and succeed!
Chromebook Expectations:
Students will be issued a school Chromebook to complete class assignments and eLearning if needed. Students must take care of their assigned Chromebook. We understand that accidents happen, however, any intentional damage will result in fines that must be paid to fix the Chromebook.
Cell Phone Policy:
Students who have cell phones or smart watches must have them powered off and in their backpack out of sight during the day. If they become a distraction, they will be taken and given to administration to hold for the day, and returned to students at dismissal. If students’ use of cell phones becomes chronic, there will be a meeting set up with administration and parents to determine further consequences.
