Mrs. Sarah Dukeman

Hello students and families!  My name is  Mrs. Sarah Dukeman and I am the new Chorus and Music & Theater teacher here at Northwood Middle.

My family and I just moved to Greenville this summer from the Gulf Coast of Mississippi.  We are already loving the cooler weather and abundant outdoor opportunities.  In Mississippi I taught middle school choir for the last 6 years.  I had the chance to work with a number of wonderful colleagues and throughout my time there our choirs  accomplished Superior and Excellent ratings in stage performance and Superior ratings in sightreading at a number of festivals.  Last year we had the privilege of singing the National Anthem for the Grand Opening of Ocean Aero, an ocean exploration company, with the Governor of Mississippi and Senators in attendance, among others.  Most importantly our choirs learned a lot, worked hard and made lasting friendships!

I've also had extensive experience in church music, having played organ, piano and directed a number of church choirs and bell choirs over the years.  

My husband and I have 4 children who will be going to school here in Greenville.  My two boys will be attending Northwood this year and we are looking forward to getting to know the Northwood community and Greenville better!  

I am thankful to be part of the Northwood family and am looking forward to a great school year!  Go Knights!
