My name is Mary DeSantis and I have been teaching at Ellen Woodside for the past 20 years. I have had experience with multiple grade levels ranging from K-12 but Elementary Education remains my true passion. I believe a good education is the key to any door one may encounter in life and I love being the "gate-keeper" to the world of knowledge for children. I received my B.A.E. in Exceptional Student Education from Florida Atlantic University in April of 1992 and dual certification in Elementary Education that following summer. I hail from a long line of teachers, and it has always been my life's ambition. After graduating I took a brief hiatus from my career to get married and start a family. I have two adult children and reside in Pelzer with my husband Michael. I can't wait for us to begin our journey to the stars.
