Hi, I’m Sarah Davis, a licensed independent social worker, specializing in helping children and families navigate emotional and behavioral challenges with compassion, creativity, and evidence-based care.
I received my Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Clemson University in 2007. I went on to complete my Masters of Social Work with the University of South Carolina in 2011 and became fully licensed as an independent social worker of clinical practice in 2015. During my career, I have worked with Department of Mental Health providing behavior modification services for children and adolescents, at the Julie Valentine Center as a forensic interviewer and trauma therapist, and as a school social worker in Greenville County School's therapeutic day program. I love living in Upstate South Carolina with my husband, three kids, and puppy. In our free time, you can find us working in our yard, taking care of our flock of chickens, going for hikes, or cuddled up for a movie night. 🌳🐔🍿
My goal is to create a safe and supportive space where kids can express themselves, build resilience, and develop the tools they need to thrive—at home, in school, and in their relationships.
I draw from a variety of approaches to meet each child’s unique needs, including:
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) for trauma healing
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to support emotional regulation and thought awareness
Play Therapy and Art Therapy to help children process their experiences in developmentally appropriate ways
Yoga and mindfulness to promote grounding, body awareness, and self-soothing
I believe in the power of connection—not just between therapist and child, but also with caregivers. I work closely with parents to foster insight and strengthen relationships at home, knowing that true healing happens in a supportive environment.
If your child is struggling, or if you're looking for guidance as a parent, I’d be honored to support your journey.
