My name is Jaclyn Cook and I am entering my 16th year in education! I was born and raised in New Jersey and my parents are both educators. My father is a retired elementary school principal and my mother a retired elementary school PE teacher. I have one older brother who lives in Virginia with his wife and two sons. I always knew I wanted to be a teacher and would even rummage through teacher's trash cans at my parents' schools looking for worksheets to play class with. Their trash was literally my TREASURE. I received my undergraduate and master's degrees from Virginia Tech (Go Hokies)!  My teaching experience includes having taught grades 2-4 in Virginia and middle school math grades 5-7 in Alabama. Prior to moving to Greer in early June 2024, I served as the Lower School Curriculum and Resource Specialist and Associate Head of the Lower School in Alabama.

My husband and I have 2 sons. Austin, is in 3rd grade at Buena Vista and Callen, age 3, will be starting PreK-3 at CCA. My husband, Ryan, is a professor at Clemson in Counselor Education. Lastly, we can't forget our adorable and energetic 5 year old doodle named Emmie. The Cooks are thrilled to be entering our third year as a Bobcat Family!
