I was born in Atlanta, GA but was raised in Clarkesville, GA, about 15 minutes east of Helen. My family moved to Greenville in 2013 and we love living here! I am married to Josh and we have 3 daughters. The youngest, who attended the CTC program here at Sterling, is now in college. Our oldest two daughters got married in the Spring and early Summer of 2022, which gave us two sons. I became a grandmother in 2023!
I attained my Bachelors of Science in Sociology from North Georgia University in Dahlonega, GA and graduated from Liberty University (Lynchburg, VA) with my Masters of Art in Teaching Elementary Education (K4-6th). My goals are to become certified in Gifted/Talented Education and to become Nationally Board Certified.
I started at Sterling School as an after school teacher in 2015, before I received my South Carolina certification. Since then, I have taught Reading Intervention and Keyboarding for grades K5 - 5th, and 3rd grade. I loved teaching 2nd grade in 2024-25! In 2025 I will begin teaching 1st grade! I am so excited to start a new adventure!
