Hello! My name is Karen Brittingham, and I am so excited to be your child's first-grade teacher this year! I can't wait to meet you and get to know you better. We are going to have so much fun in first grade!

I was born and raised in Greenville, SC, and attended Clemson University, where I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education. After graduating from Clemson, I taught kindergarten in Anderson District One for three years. I then stayed home for 10 years with my children before returning to teaching as a reading and math intervention teacher at Buena Vista Elementary. I later became a long-term substitute here at Pelham Road. I fell in love with PRES and decided to make it official by calling Pelham Road home. This will be my fifth year teaching first grade at Pelham Road.

My husband and I have been married for 26 years, and we have two wonderful children. My daughter graduated from Clemson University in May, and my son will be a sophomore at Clemson this year. We are HUGE Clemson fans! You will find us cheering on our Tigers every Saturday in the fall. We also have two dogs whom we adore. I love spending time with my family, friends, and our dogs!
