About Me

My name is Calla Bartschi, and I’m thrilled to be teaching at Riverside this year! I was born in Greenville, SC, but grew up in Augusta, GA. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Georgia and later spent a year studying animation and digital graphics at the graduate level with Clemson University.

Throughout my life, I discovered that my interests were split between technology and helping others learn. As I continued in work and education, it became clear that I wanted to combine those two passions and pursue a career in teaching!

Outside of teaching, I enjoy exploring with my husband, Grant, and playing with my cat, Tumbleweed. We moved to the Upstate in 2024, so we have enjoyed exploring the many things to do in the area as well as traveling to state and national parks.
