About me

My name is Corey Ramey, and I am honored to serve as an Assistant Principal at Travelers Rest High School. I taught high school French for many years before becoming an administrator. Before education, I worked in industry in both France and the United States. 

I am originally from Pickens, SC and I am a proud graduate of Pickens High School. After high school, I earned a Bachelor of Science in International Business from Winthrop University.  As my calling in education has evolved over the years, in 2017 I completed my Master of Education in Administration and Supervision from Anderson University. 

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my friends, family, and Airedale 'Andi'. I love hiking, running, volleyball, and certainly travel. I have been to Ireland, China, France, Germany, Spain, and Norway. Hopefully soon, I can add Greece, Africa, and Alaska to that list!

As a member of the TRHS community, my goal is to support our students in becoming not only strong learners but also confident leaders, ready to take on whatever comes next. I believe in hard work, mutual respect, and a positive attitude, and I promise to bring those values with me every single day. I am excited for a great year with our incredible staff, students, and families of TRHS. Let’s make it a great year! Go Devildogs!
