Welcome to Anatomy & Physiology ( Human Biology) 2025-2026

Dear Parents,

Welcome to the exciting world of the human body!  The course surveys the structure and function of the human body. Anatomy and Physiology is a course that requires memorization of vocabulary and terminology. This course is also a Lab Science which entails class dissections.

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome your child to Anatomy & Physiology at Greenville Senior High School .I look forward to working with both you and your child in a dedicated effort to successfully complete this science course. It is my goal to instill in your child an interest, understanding, and appreciation for the complexities of Human Anatomy & Physiology. 

The course will include studying the eleven body systems. The body systems are the foundation of everything we will be doing during this entire school year.  This will be an exciting journey for your young adults to learn not only how the body works but to apply what they do learn and how it affects their own bodies. Your child will have a great time learning these systems as we compare lifestyle choices and how they compare and contrast to each other.  

I will try to make this interesting and varied class, involving models, dissections, projects, activities and labs related to everyday health care. We may also have Medical Professionals as guest speakers and field trip to Greenville Hospital System and Bob Jones -Cadaver Lab

I have posted the syllabus and grading policies and will be updating my Weekly planner regularly. Please feel free to email me if you have any questions and concerns as your child's success is my primary goal.
