My name is James Buck and I'm excited to join the Greenville County Schools Alternative Programs staff for the 2025-2026 School Year. I am licensed in Business and Marketing Education and beginning my fifth year as a High School educator.
I grew up in south Arkansas and attended the University of Arkansas for my undergraduate degree. After graduating college I spent a few years as a rafting guide and ski instructor before finally landing my career in Digital Marketing for Omni Hotels and Resorts. After 10 years in the field I welcomed my first and only child and that life change prompted me to reimagine a life as an educator.
I received my teaching certificate at the University of North Carolina, Charlotte and taught Business Classes at A.C. Reynolds High School in Asheville prior to moving to Greenville.
I am excited to join this amazing program and look forward to exploring ways I can contribute my skillsets to enhance the students educational journey.
