Hello, my name is Mr. Avant, and I will be your Social Studies teacher this year. I have a bachelor's degree in history and a master's degree in secondary education from the University of South Carolina. Go Gamecocks!!! I am entering my 13th year teaching. My family and I moved to the upstate from Columbia.  I’ve been married to my wife for 14 years. We have a daughter who is 11.  I’m very excited to be your teacher and part of the Greenville High family! Go Red Raiders!!!
