My name is Mr. Michael Wixted.  I grew up in Danbury, CT (hat-making capital of the world), where I taught Grades 7 & 8 for several years in my own neighborhood.  I was Head Coach of Track & Field at Danbury HS.  More recently, I taught and coached  in Long Beach, CA at the Middle School and HS levels.  I was Head Coach/Sprints Coach at Lakewood HS.  This will be my second year at Mauldin HS - I'm excited to meet my new students and to see my former students in the hallways to say, "Hi!"

I have been married to my wife, Paisley, for many years.  We are pet parents of a Poodle mix and 2 Siamese cats.

I enjoy running, surfing, basketball and writing and playing songs on the guitar.  We are rabid fans of the L.A. Kings and hope to go to many Greenville SwampRabbits hockey games.
