My wife, Nicole, is a school counselor at Woodruff Primary School. We met at Clemson University (GO TIGERS!) She has a Psychology bachelor's degree from Clemson, a master's degree and an education specialist degree from the University of South Carolina. Nicole is originally from Providence, SC in Orangeburg County. She loves to read, drink coffee, and spoil our 9 lb. guard dog Daisy!
My son, Brian, graduated from Laurens District 55 HS. He was a multi-sport athlete (kicker for football, wrestler, baseball player, and golfer) and a member of ROBOTZ Garage. He is currently employed by Laurens Commission of Public Works.
My daughter, Ruthie, will be a senior at Woodruff HS. She is a member of both the varsity volleyball and softball teams, and an active member of FCA.
Daisy is Ruthie's dog, and our protector. She enjoys going on walks, riding in the car, and letting us know anytime someone walks by our home.
I graduated high school in 1992 from West Springfield High School in Springfield, VA (suburb of Washington, DC) I was a student athletic trainer, and a member of the wrestling and soccer teams.
I graduated from Clemson University in 1996 with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Secondary Education with an emphasis in the Physical Sciences. I was a student trainer and worked primarily with the football team.
My teaching career began at Laurens District 55 HS in Laurens, SC. Over the years I taught: Physics, Physical Science, Project Lead the Way (Introduction to Engineering, Engineering Essentials, Digital Electronics, Computer Science Principles, and Engineering Design and Development), Manufacturing Production Technical Dual Enrollment, and the AVID Elective class.
This will be my fourth year at Fountain Inn HS. I am excited to be a part of the Institute of Automation and Engineering and will be teaching Mechatronics, Engineering, and Career Exploratory. I also am a mentor for FRC Team 4451 ROBOTZ Garage. We hope to continue the trajectory of last year's team and bring another STATE championship to FIHS!
