WELCOME BACK FROM SPRING BREAK
We are officially in our last 9 weeks of the school year. Congratulations to my students for completing Quarter 3 and now we make sure everyone completes and meets all the requirements of Quarter 4 before we prepare for our Final Exam.
Remember Quarter 3 grades represent 45% of the Final Grade in the Course.
Each of the students in my English 3CP classes know that score now. At the end of Quarter 4 prior to the Final Exam, each student will know their Quarter 4 grade. Quarter 4 also represents 45% of the Final Grade. This way each student will know what 90% of the Final Grade is PRIOR to taking the Final Exam. The Final Exam represents the last 10% of the Final Grade Calulations.
Here are helpful tips to our Path To Success from now until the FINAL EXAM.
*Get off to an excellent start by doing your best on all assignments and turn in on time. Reason, this will go quickly. With time to prepare very well for the Final Exam, final graded assignments for Q4 will come a bit earlier to ensure that students have ample time to get the best preformance. Final work deadline for Quarter 4 will be announced soon.
The Rest of the Keys to The Path to Success Remain. Every student who followed those steps in Quarter 3 can report that it works.
Thank you again for Quarter 3.
Now...let's have an even more awesome Quarter 4.
Student success requires active engagement, responsible use of class time, and completing all assignments on time. Class time is for learning, practice, and asking for help, and students are expected to stay focused and participate. Completing work on time supports learning, builds responsibility, and keeps students on track academically.
Be present, prepared, and on time
Stay focused and engaged during instruction
Use class time productively to complete assigned work
Ask for help when needed
Complete all assignments by the assigned due date
Ask questions during class or work time
Speak with the teacher as soon as possible
Use available support time or tutoring
Stay organized and check deadlines regularly
Communicate honestly before assignments become late or missing
Families and teachers work together to support students, but students are responsible for their choices and effort. Meeting these expectations builds habits necessary for success in school and beyond.
