About Me

Howdy, greetings, salutations, and every other welcoming phrase!

My name is Mr. Martinez-Meraz, and I am going to be your child's social studies teacher this year. This is also my second year at Hughes Academy and I am learning so much about this incredible community.

A little about me, I am a South Carolina native. I am originally from Spartanburg and moved to Anderson to complete my undergraduate education at Anderson University. While attending there I studied Secondary Social Studies Education and History. So I am quite familiar with the Upstate. 

 Some pass times I enjoy include reading, going on hikes, playing my musical instruments, and always wanting to learn something new, 

One of my core beliefs is to have a open communication with all of student's guardians! I understand the importance of success and improving progress.
