I’m excited to embark on a new academic year with all of you as we explore the fascinating worlds of Astronomy and Chemistry. This site will be your go-to resource for everything we’ll cover in class—from lesson materials and lab activities to assignments, study resources, and important updates.
In Astronomy, we will explore the universe from Earth and the solar system to stars, galaxies, and the expanding universe. We will investigate the forces, patterns, structures, and evidence that help us understand how astronomical objects form, interact, and evolve. In Chemistry, we will investigate matter, atomic structure, chemical reactions, and how substances interact at the molecular level.
Whether you are reviewing class content, preparing for labs and assessments, checking upcoming activities, or looking for extra support, this site is designed to help you stay organized and succeed. About Me
My name is Ricky Mabini, a passionate educator with a strong background in science education from Cebu, Philippines. I hold a Bachelor of Secondary Education, major in General Science, from Cebu Normal University and a Master of Education in Biology from the University of the Philippines.
My teaching journey began at Pasil National High School, where I taught a range of subjects for three years, including Integrated Science, Biology, Chemistry, Philippine History, and Mathematics. Thereafter, I taught Integrated Science, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics for three years at Dr. Emilio Osmeña Sr. Integrated School.
For the following 12 years, I continued to share my passion for science at Babag Integrated School, where I taught Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Earth Science, Applied Economics, Philippine Governance, Humanities, and Applied Research.
After 18 years of teaching in the Philippines, I expanded my horizons by teaching 8th-grade science at Lakeview Middle School in Greenville. I now bring my diverse teaching experiences to Carolina High School, where I teach Integrated Science, Earth Science, Chemistry Honors, Physics Honors, and Astronomy. I am passionate about inspiring and engaging students in the wonders of science and helping them understand how science connects to the world around them.
