This high school electricity course, aligned with South Carolina’s CTE standards, is designed to give students a strong foundation in electrical theory and hands-on skills. Students will explore core concepts such as voltage, current, resistance, and circuit analysis, while learning to safely use industry-standard tools and equipment. Emphasis is placed on understanding and building both series and parallel circuits, applying Ohm’s Law, and interpreting resistor values—all while maintaining a focus on safety and technical precision.
My vision is to develop not just skilled electricians, but electrical-minded individuals who think critically, solve problems, and carry a strong work ethic into any career path. Through this course, students will gain practical experience, learn employability skills like communication and teamwork, and build the confidence needed to pursue further education or enter the electrical workforce with a competitive edge.
