About me

Hi my name is Mr. Gilstrap and this is my third year at Mauldin Elementary. I will be teaching Math, Science, and Social Studies. This will be my 20th year teaching and I am really looking forward to it! I graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education in 2006 and liked it so much that I got a Master's degree from Clemson for School Administration and Supervision in 2010. I have two sons that keep me very busy and entertained always. Tillman (17) and his little brother Hack (10) live with me on our farm with all of our many pets and plants. We enjoy traveling to minor league baseball games all over SC, NC, TN, and GA. My favorite sports teams are the Chicago Cubs and the Clemson Tigers.
