Get to Know Me

About Mr. Ellis

Hi there! I’m Mr. Ellis – welcome to my classroom page!

I am from Columbia, South Carolina, and have gamecock in my blood – sorry, upstate! I attended Anderson University, where I graduated in 2019 with a BS in Elementary Education. Last summer, I moved to Greenville and found East North Street. This is my first year at ENSA, and I teach fourth grade reading and social studies. Outside of school, you can often find me playing music, petting dogs, or doing anything outside. Recently, I’ve been planning a wedding with my lovely fiancé, Hannah, who is a pediatric nurse. We love to cook, laugh, and learn.

I believe that a solid education and a positive attitude can open the door out of some of life’s worst situations. I care about reading because it teaches us to communicate – through receiving and expressing words, thoughts, or ideas. I love to teach social studies because it is the study of humanity. The more we learn about the past, the better we can make the future, if we so choose. I look forward to getting to know you more in class this year; it’s going to be challenging, but a great time!
