About the Teacher

My name is Mr. Alcocer and I am so happy to be a part of the Greer Middle family this year. I have had the opportunity to teach middle school math for several years and I look forward to working with our 7th graders this year. 

I am originally from northern California but have been living in the Upstate for about 7 years. We really love it here and the way it is growing. My wife, Tyneal, and I have 5 children (Ezra, Titus, Naomi, Jude, and Amos) so we are a loud group (especially at home).

I really enjoy playing sports (especially volleyball and basketball) and board and video games, reading nonfiction, and learning more about math and other subjects. My favorite teams are the Golden State Warriors, San Francisco Giants and 49ers.
