My name is JR Adkins and I’m excited to my 8th year teaching science at Blue Ridge Middle School.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Entomology from Clemson University and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Clemson University.
After my undergrad graduation I spent time in the pest control industry here in South Carolina. In 2007 I went to Iraq as a civilian contractor preforming vector control work (I took care of all the creepy crawly stuff like snakes, scorpions, foxes, hyenas, jackals, etc…). While overseas was able to travel to Mexico, Australia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Kenya, and Egypt. I’ve dived the Great Barrier Reef, went on a safari, dived with great white sharks, and visited the pyramids.
In 2011 I came home for good, spent some time with my family and friends, and started my Master’s program. I am excited about this coming school year and want you to feel free to contact me at any time for any reason.
While overseas I got to do some traveling....
