College of Education Mission: The College of Education is a transformative leader in systematically improving education, beginning at birth. Course Description: Clemson students (teacher candidates) will be introduced to the teaching profession, the nature of the diverse and multicultural classroom, content and teaching standards, professional conduct, evaluation systems, and requirements of the profession. This course requires a field experience. Students will be expected to log a minimum of 10 hours in their assigned school placement. See syllabus section “Field Experience” for more detailed information. The minimum number of hours in the field placement for a dual enrollment students should be 50 hours and 50 contacts.
This is a dual-credit college course for which students earn AP credit.
Students are responsible for reading, understanding, and abiding by the course syllabus. Paper copies will be provided for students upon request.
