Meet Mrs. Pepper

I am excited to be a part of your child's education this year!  This year begins my 28th year teaching in the public school system. I have taught in the elementary, middle, and high school level. For ten years I taught in the field of special education in both the self-contained setting and the resource setting.  At Lake Forest, I  taught 11 years in 2nd grade and 6 years in  3rd grade.

I grew up in Greenwood, South Carolina and  spent my college years at Lander University.  I graduated from Lander University in 1997 with my B.S. in Special Education.

In 2006, I completed my Masters in Reading and Literacy. I am certified in early childhood, elementary, generic special education, and mental disabilities.  Also, I have the Read To Succeed endorsement.

I was the 2012-2013 Teacher of the Year at Lake Forest Elementary and 2011 WYFF 4 Golden Apple Award Winner.

My husband David and I have 3 boys and 2 dogs.  John Martin is a freshman at Clemson.  Arive is married to Annie and owns his own landscaping company.  Charlie is engaged to Madeline and a physical therapy assistant.
