Mrs. Halka
My name is Julie Halka and I am thrilled to be your child’s Resource Room teacher this year! This is my first year at Monarch.

My family moved to the Greenville area eight years ago from NJ.  I have been married to my amazing husband, Bill, for 15 years.  We have two boys, Matthew (11), who just finished 5th grade at Monarch and Ryan (8), who will be in 3rd grade. I stayed home to raise our boys and also worked part time as a Preschool Teacher at SMMCP.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and certifications in Elementary Education and Special Education: Multi-categorical.  I hold a Masters of Education in Developmental Disabilities from William Paterson University (NJ).  When I am not at school, I love to spend time with my family, watch my boys at their soccer games, go to the beach, read, cook and shop! I am looking forward to getting to know your children and instill a love of learning!
