About Mrs. Impson

Hello! My name is Madelyn Impson, and I am so excited to be your child’s third-grade teacher! This is my sixth year of teaching and my first year at Ellen Woodside Elementary, and I can’t wait for an amazing year together. We have a year full of exciting adventures, meaningful learning, and memorable experiences ahead. My goal is to get to know each of my students, help them grow both academically and personally, and build caring, lasting relationships throughout the school year.

I was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina, and moved to Elgin, South Carolina, when I was two years old. Growing up in Elgin is where I discovered my passion for teaching.

I graduated from North Greenville University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. In 2023, I earned my Master’s degree in Early and Elementary Education.

When I’m not at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Logan, our daughter, Oakleigh, and our Aussiedoodle, Sulley.

My favorites: Disney, Chick-fil-a, Marshalls, Chocolate, the Atlanta Braves, and the Carolina Gamecocks!
