Hey everyone! My name is Mr. Manuel Menocal-David and I am your 7th grade geography teacher, and I am super excited to be teaching all of you! I was born in Honduras and moved to the United States when I was six years old. I grew up in Greenville and eventually graduated from Riverside High School. I started college at Greenville Tech, but later transferred to the University of Colorado Boulder, where I earned my degree in History with an English minor.
I have been interested in teaching since a young age! My grandmother was a Spanish teacher in Honduras, and my uncle is a philosophy professor in Nicaragua. So you can say education has always been influential to me. I love seeking knowledge and I hope to give my students the same passion for learning.Â
I have a pretty big family, which is very important to me! Both of my parents, my two brothers, and my sister have been very supportive throughout my life. I also have three nieces, who are still babies and are quite a handful. I enjoy to do many things from playing video games and hiking, to traveling and trying to new things. I cannot wait to share my classroom with you guys! If there are any questions you have, feel free to reach out to me.
