My goal each year is to create a positive and safe environment that is conducive to learning. It is important to me that your child has an active role in our classroom community. At the beginning of the year, our class will create a set of rules and promises together. It is my intent to teach our littles how to stay safe, respect our peers and other adults within our school, and maximize our opportunities for learning.
In order to keep parents in the know, I use Class Dojo on a daily basis. Daily behavior is recorded on the app and offers parents a "quick glimpse" into the school day. Although many specific examples of your child's strengths and areas for growth are shared directly to your device, it is important to note that not all moments of the day are recorded.
As a bonus, if your child earns 90% positive behavior for the entire week, they can take a trip to the class treasure box on Friday.
I also implement table points, which encourages many team building opportunities throughout the school year.
