Positive Behavior Management in Our Classroom
In our classroom, I use Behavior Punch Cards to encourage and celebrate positive choices. Each time students demonstrate respectful, responsible, or kind behavior, they earn a “punch” on their card. Once their card is full, they can choose a small reward or privilege. This system helps students stay motivated, take ownership of their actions, and build a positive classroom community.
When behavior concerns arise, we first try to address them in the classroom through the following steps:
Warning/Reflection – A reminder and a chance to think about making better choices.
Teacher’s Choice – A consequence or redirection appropriate to the situation.
Phone Call Home – To inform you and work together on a solution.
Office Referral – For serious or repeated behaviors.
Please check your child’s folder daily for notes or updates. If concerns arise, I will contact you immediately so we can work together to support their success.
