All About Me

My name is Kayla Pegram. I am so excited to join the Gateway family this year!

I am originally from Mount Pleasant, SC. I am the oldest of 3 kids. My parents now live in Prosperity, SC on Lake Murray. My sister and 4 year old niece also live in Prosperity. My brother, sister-in-law, and 1 year old nephew live in Taylors, SC. I have a 4 year old lab, Rusty. I love spending time with my family and friends, being around water, watching sports, hanging out at Falls Park, and reading in my free time.

I graduated from Clemson University in 2016 with B.A. in Special Education and in 2023 with M.Ed. in Educational Leadership. I am certified in Multi-Categorical Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, and Administration/Supervision. I have taught in a self-contained setting and resource setting. This will be the first time teaching in a general education setting. I am so excited to teach your child in 2nd grade this year!
