Here you will find links to videos that students could view at home to support their learning! I will update videos as we move through math units and I will also share some videos with reading and writing content. These could be things you practice at home in addition to homework or use to support students with their homework! Tens and Ones

Review the meaning of tens and ones to better understand how we add and subtract them.

Addition to 100

As students continue to learn to add two digit numbers, they will see equations in different formats as well as different representations of the numbers.

Adding Multiples of 10

Review adding multiples of ten to a two digit number using mental math. Only the tens place will change!

Counting by 10s to 100

As we work on place value, students need to understand how to count by 10 in order to understand the value of the tens place.

Counting by 1s to 120

Students need to be able to count aloud to 120, but more importantly they need to recognize these numbers when they see them and now how to write them.

2D Shapes

We are starting a new unit on shapes! Students will learn to identify shapes and explain how they know which shape it is based on the defining attributes such as how many sides and vertices each shape has.

3D Shapes

After we complete 2D shapes, we will begin learning to identify and describe 3D shapes using their attributes such as faces, vertices, and edges.

Adding and Subtracting

We just completed our first units on adding and subtracting so this video will review and reinforce the skills we have learned.

Composing and Decomposing

These skills will support student's understanding of putting together and breaking apart numbers to form addition and subtraction equations.

Story Elements

With fiction texts, we are learning about the parts of a story.

Central Idea & Details

With non fiction texts, we are learning to identify the central idea and supporting details.

Writing Sentences

As we write stories, we are working to remember the basics of a sentence.
