All about our Teachers!

Meet Miss Julia!

Hello! My name is Julia Midyette, and I am delighted to be your teacher this year! I was born in Greenville, South Carolina. This is where I spent all of my life until college. I graduated from J.L Mann High School in 2016. In the fall of 2016, I started my journey at the University of Tennessee. I graduated in May of 2020 with a major in Interventionist and Comprehensive Special Education. In May of 2021, I graduated with a Master of Science in Special Education from the University of Tennessee! This is my third year teaching at Alexander Elementary School. When I am not in the classroom, I love to go on walks. You can also find me at my home with my bunny Gilbert. I love going through the isles of Target or Hobby Lobby.

Meet Ms. Paula

Hello! My name is Paula Sumpter (Miss Paula).  This is the start of the 23rd year at Alexander Elementary.  I have many years of experience in Special Education, K-5th grade. I love my students and school dearly!

I grew in Indiana where I attended college and earned a B.A. in Elementary Education.  I moved to South Carolina with my husband in 1988.  We have two adult children and an energetic two year old boxer named "Rocco."

I look forward to helping your child grow this year.
