About Me 

          For starters, my name is Abigail Hinton. My family and friends call me Abi. In May 2017 I graduated from Clemson University (Go Tigers!!) with a Bachelors of Art degree in Early Childhood Education. I have always known I was meant to be a teacher. I believe it is truly a calling, and I have been lucky enough to have been called to do so. My passion for education (and children) is undeniable, and I am so enthusiastic about teaching! I am 30 years young and I live in downtown Greenville in with my Husband. We were married in May of 2025! 

I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, running and teaching of course! This will be my ninth year teaching at Simpsonville Elementary. This is my second year as one of the Reading Interventionist Teachers here at SES. I taught first grade for seven years before this new position last year. I am also one of the Testing Coordinator at SES. was fortunate enough to be named Teacher of the Year after my third year of teaching and my passion just continues to grow! I am beyond excited to see what this year holds for my students and myself!
