I am so excited to start the 2025-2026 school year at Bryson! This is my third year here and my second year teaching seventh grade. I graduated in May of 2023 from Winthrop University with a Bachelor's degree in Middle Level Education with a dual concentration of English/History and a minor in Global Communication. That's a fancy way of saying that I am certified to teach grades 5-8 in either subject. Part of my degree means that I can also teach higher-level courses such as Honors and Gifted/Talented. I also have experience working with multilingual students (which is where the Global Communication part comes in handy).
I am originally from Taylors, but now live in Simpsonville with my fiancé and two cats. I also love to fill my space with books, plants, and other trinkets that make me happy (much like a crow does!), so you will see a lot of those things in our classroom as well!
I am a huge advocate for young adult literacy, and I cannot wait to help you discover (or reignite) your passion for reading this year. When I'm not at school, you can find me at a coffee shop reading or with my family at a trivia night. My hobbies include learning Spanish, reading, writing, baking, or playing video games. I cannot wait to meet you!
