Instead of writing a typical research paper, we are going to be creating a Bloom's Ball with our research. We are each going to be researching a country from which immigrants have come to the US. Please pick a country that has meaning to you. Countries in Europe are going to be easier to research because there is more information.

Step 1 - Research

Your goal is to create a Bloom's Ball containing facts and information about a country whose people choose to immigrate to the United States. First, you will need to gather some research by answering the questions for each of your pages.

You may use your textbook, the internet, or any other sources. You may use websites that end in .edu, .org, or .gov.

Remember, you are looking for websites with C.A.R.S (credibility, accuracy, reasonableness, and support).

You MAY NOT use Wikipedia for your research. It is unreliable because it can be edited by anyone, even kids like Bryce.

Tips on Note-Taking when Finding Research Online:

Read a section of text, pause to think about what is important, and then write your notes.
Consider the main ideas and supporting details as you read.
A structure like boxes and bullets can help you organize your notes.
Instead of copying from the text, put the information IN YOUR OWN WORDS.
Keep track of or bookmark your source so you can return later to confirm or get more information.

Step 3 - Write

You will write out each of your circles according to the directions. You should use the research you collected to guide your writing. Obviously, complete sentences, correct grammar, and correct punctuation are expected.

Step 4 - Publish

We will be editing and proofreading each of your circles to make sure you are ready to publish. I will grade your published work before we create the Bloom's Ball.

Step 5 - Create the Bloom's Ball

We will work step by step to put your circles together and create your Bloom's Ball!
