About Me

Hi All!

My name is Maddie Dancer and this is my first year as a Bryson Bulldog! I'm originally from North Dakota (yes, you did read that correctly!) I graduated with my Bachelor's in Social Studies Education, along with minors in History and Human Development & Family Science from North Dakota State University in 2019. A few years later,  I received a Master's Degree in History from the University of North Carolina - Wilmington. I am currently in my 7th year teaching, having taught social studies to grades 5-8 for the previous 6 school years. Social Studies is definitely my passion and I am so excited be able to share that passion with my students.

Outside of school, I have the same hobbies as your average 70+ retiree who enjoys sewing, reading, and making puzzles. I also have two dogs who keep me active and bring a lot of joy and mischief! I love to be outdoors going hiking or paddleboarding at the lake. As a very new resident to Greenville, I am always looking for new places to walk/hike/explore, so please share any suggestions!
