About Me

I am so glad you are here! My name is Miss Emily Jackson. This is my third year teaching 7th grade at Mauldin Middle and second year coaching softball! I am thrilled to be back at MMS! 

I grew up in Sumter, South Carolina, where I graduated from Thomas Sumter Academy. After high school, I attended Clemson University and majored in education with a Middle-Level Math and Science degree. I just finished my Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction. 

Outside the classroom, I love spending time with my family, my fiancé (Brandon) and my dog, Tank! On the afternoons and weekends, you will find me at Burn Boot Camp, on a long walk, sitting on the porch, by the pool, or watching sports...not just at home -- I love going to watch my student's excel outside of school!

My goal in the classroom is for each student to see math through their own lens, see math beyond the classroom, and gain a little bit more math love.
