Welcome! I am so excited to have your child in my class this year! My name is WhitneyLane Miller, and I have been teaching for the last fifteen years.  I graduated from the College of Charleston in May of 2008, with a Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education and from Furman University in 2013 with a Masters in School Leadership.

To tell you a little more about me…I have always known that I wanted to teach. I was raised in a military family and my father retired in Greenville, South Carolina in 1995 where I finished out my elementary, middle, and high school education. I am the baby of two girls, with my sister only being sixteen months older than me. My mom has always worked in the school system whether it was as a classroom teacher, guidance counselor, or school psychologist. As a result, you can say, I grew up in her classroom or school! 

As a teacher, I am well aware that students’ progress at different rates. Together, I plan to establish some important ground work to ensure our classroom is an environment which fosters good behavior, exceptional work habits, and academic excellence. 

I am SO happy to be your child’s teacher. I believe that all children can learn, and I will work to help your child move as far as possible this year. I look forward to working with you and your precious child. Together, we will have an exciting and prosperous year.
