Classroom Agreement

Our Classroom Agreement:

1. Work hard.

2. Respect authority.

3. Love others.

4. Forgive quickly.

As a class, the children helped me come up with a class agreement that we will follow in our classroom. We had a discussion about the purpose of rules. Rules are used to keep us safe and to help us learn. We discussed the meaning of these rules, and we talked about how these rules would help create a safe classroom environment. Each child made the decision to sign their name on our poster to show ownership of our Classroom Agreement and to commit to following it.
