General Extended Day Information
What are Extended Day hours of operation?
Mauldin Elementary School Extended Day operates from 2:15-6:00pm on full school days. There is no Extended Day on GCSD half days or days where school closes early due to inclement weather.
Where will I pick up my child?
Pick-up is done at the front of the building in the front atrium area. The green colored pickup tag, given at the beginning of the school year, is required for pick-up. If you do not have your pickup tag, picture ID is required.
What if I am late picking up my child?
If a parent/guardian is late picking up a student (After 6:00pm) attempts are made to contact all authorized persons. The Extended Day program late pick-up fees will be assessed. EDP Late Pick-up fees are $1.00 per minute, per family.
I want to withdraw my child from EDP, what are my options?
You may withdraw your child from EDP at anytime. A written two weeks notice is required to withdraw your child from the program.

All Extended Day fees must be paid in advance of extended day care. Payments may be made on Tuesdays and Thursdays of every week unless closed for district holidays.

What fees are required to enroll in Extended Day?
To enroll in the Mauldin Elementary School - Extended Day Program the following fees must be paid:
The yearly registration fee of $40.00 per family is non-refundable and non-transferable.
If the child transfers to another school where a program exists, the registration fee must be paid again.
The yearly registration fee of $40.00 per family and first week tuition is required each school year to guarantee placement.
EDP Parent Concerns
Why is my child coming home with homework not completed?
The extended day staff is required to ask all children if they have any homework and will assist them during the allotted homework time. If a child declines to having any homework, staff are not allowed to search backpacks. Parents will need to notify EDP staff if there any concerns regarding homework.
What forms of payment are accepted by the Extended Day program?
The Extended Day program has multiple payment options available.
Our most preferred option is MySchoolBucks. MySchoolBucks is an online payment option meant to make our parents lives easier by offering online debit/credit card and checking account payments directly to the after school program.

Bill Pay - an automatic draft service, provided by your bank, which mails checks directly to your bill servicer.
With the bill pay service your child's name and grade need to be included into the memo field.
Personal or Cashier Check - to pay with a personal or cashier check payments will only be received on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
To pay with check the following information must be on the check:
Personal Checks:
Must have the current address printed on the check.
Check may not be an instant check from a new bank account.
Address may not be a PO Box number and must be a physical address.
Student's name and grade must be listed in the memo section of the check.
Cashier Checks:
Student's name and grade must be listed in the memo section.
