Hello! My name is Rosie Meindl. I am the mental health counselor at Fork Shoals School. I received my master's of arts in Clinical Counseling and Rehabilitation from the University of South Carolina's School of Medicine. I have worked with elementary and middle school aged children within Greenville County.

My passion is working with children to assist them in being able to express how they feel when stressors and hard emotions arise and then be able to manage these stressors and emotions in healthy ways. Sometimes, children (and adults) can show a need in the most unexpected and disruptive ways. The following quote sums up how I feel about helping children through this: "When little people are overwhelmed by big emotions, it's our job to share our calm, not join their chaos." - L. R. Knost

I believe counseling should be person-centered and tailored toward the individual as we are all unique and do not process in the same way as everyone else. I also utilize psychoeducation, mindfulness techniques, cognitive behavioral therapy, and trauma-informed therapy.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading and spending time with my family.
