As a dedicated school mental health counselor, I am passionate about supporting the emotional wellbeing and personal growth of students. I work closely with students, parents, guardians and school staff to foster a safe and supportive school environment and to ensure that each student receives the support they need both in and out of the classroom.
I received an Associate of Arts in Criminal Justice from Spartanburg Methodist College, a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology and Criminal Justice from Lander University and a Master’s degree in Counseling from Webster University and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPCS). I have over 20+ years of experience in mental health, providing individual, family and group counseling, crisis intervention and collaborating with teachers and staff to promote mental health awareness.
I am certified in Trauma Focused- Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectic Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and Multisystemic Therapy (MST).
I am here to help you through the ups and downs of middle school. Whether you are feeling stressed, sad, angry, overwhelmed or just need someone to talk to—my door is always open.
I know that middle school can be a challenging time. My job is to listen, support you, and help you build the tools you need to feel stronger, calmer, and more in control. My goals is to make every student feel safe, understood, and empowered to succeed—Emotionally, socially, and academically. Here’s to a great school year!
