About Me

I grew up nearby in Woodruff, SC where I attended Woodruff schools from Kindergarten through graduation.  I then went on to attend Converse College, where I graduated with a BA in English and Secondary Education in 2014 and a Masters of Education in Gifted Studies in 2017.  

I'm a huge musical theatre nerd, and I have a passion for books and Netflix.  My favorite show is currently Taskmaster: Australia, and I'm obsessed with all things Greek mythology.  Unfortunately for my students, I will probably reference these things a lot.  

I am also the proud mother of an approximately 8-year-old Lab mix rescue named Tippie. She is the light of my life, even when she decides to bark into the distance at 3 am, terrifying me into thinking there is a murderer outside my window.  

This is my eleventh year teaching, and my sixth year at Woodmont High School.  I love being a Wildcat and sponsoring the ASL Club. 🤟
