About Me

Hello,

My name is Mrs. McKay! I am so excited to teach P.E. and this is my fourth year teaching here. 😄

P.E will give you the tools you need to manage your mental and physical health for years to come as well as teach you key social skills. I love helping students find out what they did not know they loved. I want each student to walk away this year with an activity they enjoy doing that they can take with them into adulthood/life. I know all students can learn and grow, and I am here to help students live their best life. I work with Project Unify here at NWMS which is an inclusion club here for our students.

I grew up in Greenwood, SC and I went to North Greenville University where I obtained my bachelor's degree. I then moved to Columbia, SC where I obtained my Master’s degree in Physical Education from the University of South Carolina. During those times I worked as a Kindergarten Teaching Assistant. I pull for the Clemson Tigers! I have been married for six years and I personally love tennis, lifting weights, hiking, and snow skiing. I have a sweet little dog named Goldie who loves to go on walks and eats everything in sight. I hope each student has a great time in P.E.and feels welcome. and comes ready to work hard. It will be a great semester!
