About Mrs. McCoy

I am thankful to be your teacher this year and to get to know each of you! Besides my faith and family, my students are most important to me. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be part of your journey.

My husband, Mark, and I are blessed with two wonderful sons who are graduates of Greenville County Schools, Clemson University, and USC- Joseph F. Rice School of Law. We also have an amazing daughter-in-law (whom I had the pleasure of teaching in 6th grade) and a precious granddaughter.

I’m a proud native of Greenville and am a product of Greenville County Schools myself! I graduated from the College of Charleston for both my undergraduate and graduate studies and have continued my education with additional graduate hours from Clemson and Furman in Science Education. It was an honor to be named Greenville County Schools - District Teacher of the Year for the 2019-2020 school year.

With over three decades of teaching experience, I’m excited to continue this journey with you all this year!
